Pi and More

Pi and Radio 2023

UKW-Tagung Weinheim,
Sept. 9, 2023

Pi and More and more!

We are happy to announce that after Pi and More 13 in Trier we can be part of the UKW-Tagung again with Pi and Radio! On September 9, our Maker topics will be presented on the big stage together with the amateur radio topics of the traditional UKW-Tagung in Weinheim.

With Pi and Radio, what belongs together grows together: More and more projects for the Pi and related minicomputers are based on radio technologies. At the same time, many amateur radio projects are no longer feasible without universal, compact and inexpensive computer hardware. Therefore, we have been cooperating with the Funkamateur-Club Weinheim (FACW), the organizer of the UKW-Tagung, for several years.

Pi and Radio - September 9

On September 9, Pi and Radio will take place at the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Schule in Weinheim. You have the choice between several lecture tracks - you can find the full program here before the event. In addition, there will be workshops, an exhibition of projects and partners, and plenty of time for exchange with like-minded people. For the entrance fee, a contribution of 10 euros will be charged to visitors 18 years and older. Prior registration is not necessary.

Pi and Camp! - September 8 to 10

From September 8 to 10, we will be camping on the club grounds of the Weinheim Amateur Radio Club - with our own event tent for makers and hackers. In best location at the edge of the Rhine plain, with power supply and a lot of space you can stay in your tent, caravan or camper for a small fee. A separate registration is not necessary - you can just drop by spontaneously. Already from the Monday before the event (04.09.) the meadow is available for you.

Details can be found here.

Call for Papers

We would like to invite you to submit your own contributions for the UKW-Tagung or Pi and Radio via the FACW website. No matter if with or without radio: All topics around "small computers" are right at Pi and Radio! More information about the event and location as well as the call for papers can be found here.
