Pi and Radio and the UKW Tagung: Cloud Edition Aug. 29, 2020
Note: The recorded talks will be made available on YouTube.
Even though there will be no classic Pi and More in 2020, we would like to bring a little bit of Maker Spirit home to you. To this end, we are continuing the cooperation we started last year with the UKW conference, which will be delivered this year in a small but nice "Cloud Edition". Under the title Pi and Radio, we are again exploring the interfaces between amateur radio and the Maker scene.
On September 12th from 9:15 a.m. our online meeting starts with lectures and exchange opportunities. Besides Maker topics such as home automation with MQTT and Raspberry Pi, integration of wireless sockets, building a CO2 meter, measuring soil moisture or the construction of a muon detector, we have many topics from amateur radio on the agenda, including the GPSDO construction project, the construction of a radio station on the Donnersberg, an Echolink gateway with Raspberry Pi, the HeidelSat initiative and circuit technology such as linear and switched power supplies.
The presentations will be live and you will also be able to ask questions. It is important to us not to show pre-recorded videos, but to be in interactive contact with each other. We have chosen topics mainly from projects that give you the opportunity to get inspiration and to stay active in the time ahead with exciting tasks.
The meeting will take place on the video conference platform Zoom and be live streamed on Youtube. Details on dial-in will be announced at ukw-tagung.org where you can also find the schedule.
It is new territory for us and an exciting project to run Pi and Radio and the FM conference from our homes for the first time.
We are looking forward to your participation!
