OpenMePi is an open source access control system, yet in the early stages. The goal is to make it easy configurable to the user's environment without any code change. OpenMePi has its roots in the Syn2cat hackerspace and is developed to replace the current Arduino-based system, called 'OpenDuino', which has become extremely hard to maintain. Additionally OpenMePi will be able to expose sensor data to the SpaceAPI network.
This project aims to be used by someone receiving a USB key from an untrusted source and who want to see the content you do not know what is on it without opening the original and potentially malicious files. The code runs on a Raspberry Pi which means it is never required to plug nor open the original USB key on a computer. It does not require any technical prerequisites of any kind and can be used by anyone.

Remember the good old days of video gaming? Spending hours together with friends in front of a single screen, be it the TV/monitor at home or the lovingly designed machines at the arcade? Or are you interested in discovering what set the foundation of today's blockbuster games? The Raspberry Pi as a low-cost, yet powerful platform with tiny form factor provides the opportunity to bring back those days and reanimate old treasures running on a variety of architectures. This talk intends to give an introduction to and broader overview of retro gaming with the Raspberry Pi, the emulation of heritage hardware and the use of legacy or custom controllers.
We will give beginners an introduction on how to connect electrical devices, like LEDs and Buttons, to the Raspberry Pi. Participants can bring their own devices to experiment during the workshop. Electronic parts that that are needed can be bought during the event.
